Penny Price initially trained as a Scribe and Illuminator and now works as a professional botanical artist and illustrator. She runs her own studio in Cambridge, UK. With attention to detail and realism she records the natural world in graphite, watercolour or pen and ink, on paper and vellum. Subjects range from the exotic pineapple in all its complexity to the humble beauty of a single seed. She is a Fellow of three Florilegium Societies in Sydney, Australia; the Chelsea Physic Garden,London; and Hampton Court Palace and is also a Fellow of the Linnean Society, London. Her botanical art is held in collections around the world including the RHS Lindley Library, London and The Hunt Institute for Botanical Art and Illustration in Pittsburgh.
